Ayekart turns WhatsApp voice notes into structured supply chain data for rural India
In a July 21, 2026 interview with AI Spectrum India, Ayekart co-founder and CTO Milind Borgikar described how the company applies AI across India's agri-food supply chain. Multilingual WhatsApp voice messages from farmers, farmer producer organisations and rural merchants are converted into structured operational data such as orders, quality reports and stock updates, rather than imposing new dashboards on distributed field teams.
Ayekart says it combines agricultural market prices, weather, satellite imagery and GIS mapping to generate location-specific price forecasts and anticipate warehousing, logistics and working-capital needs. Its AI Manager captures field updates conversationally and escalates exceptions to the right management level.
These are company statements, not independently verified results. Productivity claims are not substantiated here; digital twins and progressively autonomous supply chain segments remain roadmap items. A separate company interview states that voice inputs are confirmed by a human before a transaction is committed.

The interesting choice is to adapt AI to existing field behaviour: voice notes in local languages over WhatsApp. The potential planning value lies in turning field updates into actionable exceptions, while human confirmation keeps transaction authority with people. A pattern worth watching in other distributed supply chains, pending independent evidence of outcomes.
