NOMINATION: Paulig appoints Khalil El-Achkar as SVP, Supply Chain & Sourcing
Paulig announced on October 16, 2026 that Thomas Panteli will leave his position as SVP, Supply Chain & Sourcing for an opportunity outside the company. Khalil El-Achkar, currently Paulig's Director, Manufacturing Tex Mex, has been appointed his successor and will join the Paulig Leadership Team effective December 14, 2026. El-Achkar will remain based in Landskrona, Sweden.
The appointment follows an internal leadership path: El-Achkar previously held the Director, Integrated Customer Supply Chain role at Paulig and earlier built experience at Unilever. Paulig says Panteli has contributed to building its global Supply Chain & Sourcing organisation since 2019. In its announcement, the company and incoming leader emphasise strengthening operational performance, resilience and agility in support of international growth.
This is a leadership succession rather than evidence of a new operating model, technology deployment or AI programme. The announced effective date is December 14, distinct from the October 16 publication date. The material signal is leadership continuity at the point where Paulig's global Supply Chain & Sourcing function meets executive accountability. An internal successor with experience in manufacturing and integrated customer supply chain may preserve organisational context while taking responsibility for operational resilience, responsiveness and sourcing performance.
For supply chain executives, the useful question is how continuity of decision ownership and manufacturing-to-customer coordination will support Paulig's growth as the role transitions on December 14. Value depends on maintaining clear operating priorities and effective coordination across production, supply and sourcing. The limitation is straightforward: the press release provides leadership intentions, not measured post-transition outcomes. It announces no AI initiative, planning-system change or new technology programme.
