Demand & Inventory Planner – Food Import & Trading

This role sits at the operational decision point between customer forecasts, purchase-order timing, international transit variability, shelf-life risk and working capital. Reliable planning requires governed customer, item and location master data, validated lead times, minimum-order quantities, safety-stock rules, open purchase orders, shipment ETAs and expiry information. Forecasting or replenishment models should retain clear ownership for assumptions, overrides and forecast-bias reviews. Excel and BI can support controlled analysis, but recommendations affecting orders and inventory should be reconciled with the ERP before automation. Incorrect outputs could create stockouts, excess inventory, write-offs or expired products.
