Agent-to-agent supply chains need controls at the company boundary, not only inside each agent

Most agent governance models assume that the organization controls the agent, its permissions and its logs. Supply chains break that assumption when an output from one company's agent becomes an executable trigger for another company's agent.

The operational issue is therefore not simply whether each agent respected its own rules. Teams also need to control the boundary transaction: which external agent sent the signal, what authority it had, which downstream action the signal may trigger, when the sequence must stop for review, and how both parties reconstruct the same chain of events.

For planners, logistics teams and procurement organizations, this matters whenever agents can alter quantities, allocations, shipment priorities or commitments across company boundaries. A locally valid decision can still create a globally invalid outcome.
