Manufacturing agent adoption is moving faster than data readiness

Manufacturing Dive reports that interest in agentic AI is accelerating while many manufacturers still lack the data and operating infrastructure required for broad deployment. The central gap is between planned adoption and organizational readiness. An AI readiness assessment should cover master data, event latency, process ownership, system permissions, exception handling, validation datasets and failure containment before agentic AI is allowed to influence production or supply decisions.
