AI planning requires shared decision ownership before advanced analytics

Piet Buyck of Logility argues that AI-enabled planning should begin with one or two processes, a clearly accountable end-to-end owner, an agreed decision hierarchy and an assessment of how information currently moves between functions. Many planning failures originate in conflicting commercial, financial and operational assumptions rather than inadequate algorithms. Decision hierarchy, shared metrics, process ownership and rules for resolving disagreement should be established before advanced analytics are scaled.
