Better decisions matter more than fully autonomous supply chains

Jeff Metersky of GAINS argues that full supply-chain autonomy is the wrong objective for many planning decisions. Some decisions can be automated, while others require human advice and intervention. The priority should be the quality of the decision process, accountability and business outcome. Decision governance should define which decisions can be automated, when human review is mandatory and how overrides are recorded.
