Agent clusters will raise new orchestration questions for supply chains

Research discussed by Gartner anticipates a shift from single-task assistants toward clusters of agents coordinating multi-step workflows. In supply chains, this raises questions about task boundaries, shared memory, conflicting objectives and escalation. Agent orchestration needs explicit ownership, auditability and a safe fallback when agents disagree or act on stale data.
