Supplier risk visibility is not enough without downstream impact translation

A June 25 webinar involving SIG, JAGGAER and Huron highlighted a recurring execution gap: procurement may see a supplier disruption, while planning, finance and commercial teams still lack a shared view of its consequences for customer commitments and revenue exposure.

The useful shift is not simply better Supply Chain visibility. Supplier signals must be translated into constrained supply, service and financial scenarios that can be evaluated through S&OE. Supplier collaboration, digital twins and scenario modelling can support this without waiting for a complete ERP transformation.

The condition for value is a common impact model and agreed decision rules across procurement, planning, finance and commercial teams. The main failure mode is adding another risk dashboard that exposes events but leaves downstream interpretation and response coordination to meetings and spreadsheets.
