The intelligent supply chain is a decision architecture, not an autonomy target

Abhisek Mohanty of PwC frames the intelligent supply chain as a coordinated decision system rather than a collection of AI use cases. Routine decisions can increasingly move to software, while judgment-heavy exceptions remain with people. The operating implication is architectural: business decision rights, technical decision/orchestration layers and trust controls need to be designed together rather than added sequentially.
