Replay Available: Building an Agentic AI Supply Chain Decision Engine with Claude Code
GSCC’s June 23 Builder Session featured Lovis Anderson demonstrating how he is building SCMotif, an agentic AI tool for supply chain network-design decisions, using Claude Code. The session examined AI-assisted problem framing, imperfect operational data, test data, deterministic calculations, ERP and Excel connectivity, workflow orchestration and auditability. Claude Code is not the decision engine; it compresses the build cycle around one. For network-design decisions, the durable value comes from separating probabilistic problem framing and orchestration from deterministic calculations that planners can test and audit. The principal failure mode is a plausible generated workflow that encodes incomplete constraints or breaks when moved from curated test data to live ERP and spreadsheet inputs.
